you may have answered your own question. Communication is a must in a relationship. Sit him down and talk about this with him face to face. Tell him to respect you by being honest.

well if he did not love you he would not be with you, and maybe he was just messing around by saying what he said, but he needs to atleast make u feel loved!

Sounds like he's got a warped view of what love is. He's probably got "lust" and "love" confused.

You need to hear"I love you." "Ditto" doesn't count either.You could find some intersting ways to say "I love you." Set an example.Tell him you need to hear it.Some guys forget to say it.
