no...why should I? I change who I am then I am not who I am.......and if I am trying to make friends who want to be around me because of who I am, then if I change I am not who I am and they will not be friends with who I am because of who I am but because of who I am not and then....well you are just presenting a lie, not something they value to be friends with.

be you, plain and simple. If you think they are befriending you because of something you are not....then they don't know you well....and apparently, you don't know the value of yourself.

Hello!! :o) No - I would not sacrifice my personal integrity for a friendship. I believe that our integrity is what anchors our character. Cut that 'chain' and you may never find your way back. Craig!! :o)

Your personal integrity should include an in-built intuition subsystem which will provide you with enough flexibility to make such decisions :)
If you are ready to do anything outrageous (in your system of beliefs) for a person that you are attracted to, then we are not talking about integrity, but about the level of your dependency.

Personal integrity vs. friendship. Hmm.... I'd have to say that if your ever in the situation where you have to choose between selling out or helping your friend; I'd choose myself. If they can't respect you for that then they're no good in the first place. They are exceptions of course, but I believe those are in the far extreme "no-choice" situations.

Never. If you find it acceptable to do this, then how do you know that this friend has integrity? The trust in that relationship is gone, leaving nothing left.

Again, that shouldn't have to be sacrificed for true friendship.
You are a confused person!!
If you have to sacrifice anything dear to you for something that shouldn't make you sacrifice anything, then it's wrong!!

If you have not personal integrity what kind of person you are, even worse what kind of friend you gonna be.
Personally I don't want to have friends than have no personal integrity;they are no real friends. They cannot be.How can you trust them.
Good luck.

Good question!

I suppose I would. I've sacrificed my integrity before for less. I sure don't feel good about that admission.

Strictly No.

And what my friend thinks of it.

Does he not care about my feelings.

If he does not care a damn about me where is the friendship.

No.

If I ever have to think of sacrificing, then that's not true friendship and should be given up.
