I was told to "look into it" by a couple people who said that S.S. pays for the care of an elderly person, even if it's a relative and it would be done without payment otherwise. Anyone know about this?

I am looking to find someone who has experience in this, or has received such benefits.

Your best bet would be to contact your local SSA Office to get the scoop. There wasn't a whole lot of information available online. The only reference I could find had to do with caring for an elderly person who is disabled.

There were a few other references, but they were very confusing and they talked about being at the poverty level.

Contact your local social security office & ask them.

Try filing for services at DHS Department of Human Services.
