Muslims are immigrating to countries all over the planet and then are zealous in their effort to spread their religion in that country -- sometimes using intimidation and other forceful tactics. Should Americans be concerned about that happening in this country and try to restrict the spread of the Islam here - OR should Americans stick with their belief in freedom of religion even if allowing that freedom to muslims erodes freedom or sense of security for non-muslims. Your thoughts about the question would be most appreciated, but insults and name calling just because I dare to ask such a question is a bit pointless.

I live in SE Michigan, USA which has the largest concentration of Muslims outside the Middle East. It is metro-Detroit where Muslims live with the highest concentration in Dearborn and Hamtramck. Over time as the Muslim population has grown, they have become more demanding taking court action to have the azan (call to prayer) broadcast over loudspeakers 5 times daily from 6 am to 10 pm, to have "halal" food served to children in school lunch programs, to have a room set aside in schools for Friday prayer, to have tax exempt social clubs which serve as a gathering place for anti-US groups and other problems are associated with Muslim women getting Medicaid medical treatment fraudulently, selling cigarettes purchased in other states to skim taxes and so on.

Read the 50+ page report translated from the Dutch entitled from Dawa to Jihad to understand how the influx of Muslims to a country differs from the influx of other immigrants.

Not all Muslims blow up things, yet "jihad in the cause of Allah" "jihad fee sybil Allah" is "fard ayn" "compulsory duty" for all Muslims. Why? There are rules from the Quran for combattive jihad.

People are people, the average muslim is really no nastier than the average christian. You'd be amazed at what some christians do, right here in the United States.

I manage just fine in a society full of christians, I don't imagine it would be much different among a bunch of muslims. One of my college roommates was from Iran, and my half-niece married an Iranian-American, so I do have some clue of what I'm talking about.

BTW, the rightwing blogosphere doesn't know what the heck it talks about when its discussing muslims. Yes, there are muslim terrorists, but on the whole, muslims are demonized to a ridiculous extent.

I'd love to see some Malmo locals talk about how their city has been "taken over by muslims". I'm have a feeling it would come as news to them!

Muslims do not need to go all over the planet..its a complete religion in every aspect that is widespread all over the world.
Americans should stop feeling intimidated with Muslims or the religion itself. Freedom of religion should be practiced by every country. What about Christians, dont they have groups that goes around preaching in the effort of spreading their religion? Just my opinion, guys. Pls dont take it personal.

They have taken over?

You make it sound like a military coupe with guns and ammo and tanks and belaying seige weapons.

Just because a group of people wish to worship a different version of enlightenment, does it really bother you? If it does why? Are these Sweedish muslims actively genociding the population? Are they forcing someone to do theings they don't wish too?

Clearly, I say if the religion is against the laws of the city or state or country then clearly that specific group is in fault of not playing by the rules.....however on the same token....if they are worshipping in a way that doesn't offend the justice system what's the problem?

why should any political structure be worried about a religious structure...those are two seperate entities seperated by a box wall of litigation. Should the religious structure become a political structure and actively attempt to overthrow the existing political structure....then I think their is cause to worry..............but only worry about that group of insurgency. There is no need to punish related peoples who are innocent because of a guilty person's actions.

That's like condemning a murder's child and whole immediate family, because the murder was convicted and sentenced to death. (someone clearly guilty and someone clearly innocent)

i can tel u one thing ----

religions are now in the hands of people and no more gods.

ex: pope will make cristians how to be.
imams will make muslims how to be,
and sadhus and swamis tell how to live as hindus.

but as well educated people we need to think that religion is nothing but a way to god. u can be anything.

its not only america whole world.
and see the religion beyond all these people who guide u and understand the religion then u will know what to do and what not to.

and when it comes to changing the faith and religion , i will blame all cristians who are changing hindus by giving money here in india( i am pointing to the people who are doing and mind u not all christianity )

be sure and meture in thinking that by doing a mistake by a christian will not make whole religion wrong and such to muslims and any faith.

dont be narrow minded and think like this my buddy.

The French believed in tolerance towards Muslims, the result was violence in many cities in France. It will happen in other countries like Britain.
You must remember that once you converted to Islam, even under pressure, if you convert back you should be executed according to Islam.

The Muslim religion is spreading across the face of the earth like a fire out of control. It will eventually make a stand against all personal liberties.

God gives us a choice; the following verses describe it:

2Ch 7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Our nation especially has turned its back toward God. But our God is faithful to perserve that which He began, IF, we choose to be faithful as a people, to Him.

It starts with each one of us.
