She calls everyday and I don't pick up after I see her name on caller ID. I don't know what to say to her. I would like to remain friends.

the thing is that she has a very sweet and friendly attitude,but i'm not physically attracted to her. i can't tell her that. that'll destroy her.

Just tell her nicely that you prefer being friends with her. There's no need to lie to her, it'll make her hate you.
If she accepts the fact that you just wanna be friends with her, she might feel awkward hanging out with you. Try to make her feel like things are back to normal again.

You can tell her that you have not a plan to married in a near future.You will focus your life in education and or your career in the office.You can tell her that you have a heavy burden to finance your parents and your brothers and sisters.
You can tell her that you are very busy so you can not pick up phone for responding to her calls.You can suggest her to focus to her study or her career too.You should tell clearly that you want only a good friend relationship because spouse will be decided by Allah the only one God Almighty.in the future some years to come.

Its ok to lie to her to spare her feelingsbut if shes a good freind don't you think you ought to be honest. Why don't you just be honest with her and tell her that the feeling isnt mutual obviously don't use those exact words, or if you dont what to hurt her feelings then just tell her that your seeing somebody else and hopefully she'll back off a bit, but not answering her calls when she rings is just being a coward

You should call her "buddy" every once in a while (don't overuse the term). I know guys who do that to girls they aren't into to kind of give them the hint that they don't look at them like that. It works, the girls always get the message bc girls read into everything. A good friend of mine got called "buddy" by this guy she had a thing for, well, she got the hint right away, and turned out she was right, he wasn't into her that way.

maybe she just wants ot be friends. if she starts hitting on you jsut tell her straight up that you arent interested inher that way and you like having her as a friend more and that you dont want to mess things up by becoming romantically involved.
or tell her you arent ready for a relationship at the moment
or tell her you are gay

telling the truth is the only way to stay friends with her. you need to also be firm about it, try not to flirt with her. but at the same time, if you ignore her completely, she could feel totally awkward and back off too much, and you won't be friends any more

well,the best thing is to talk to her straight it you truly want to be friends,dont complicate her life more by lying and things like that cos that'll still keep her hopes high,tell her straight that you can be just good friend snad nothing more than that!!
