Yes, I did. The glands under my jaw were swollen and hurt a lot. That's all I remember. I was very young.
I should add, that overall, the disease wasn't any worse than having strep throat where the amount of pain is involved or how sick you feel. I think the reason they made a vaccine for it is because if a grown man gets mumps, it effects the testicles, and can cause sterility.

hi, at first i'm hoping your son feels greater appropriate quickly. that's incredibly uncommon that anybody who has had his or her innoculations will ever get the ailment besides the indisputable fact that there are those uncommon cases the place it does take place, and in many cases that's a lots milder style. for the period of the previous couple of years there have been outbreaks of mumps even even with the undeniable fact that the folk had their innoculations. My sisters son went for the period of the comparable element as much as this element on all his jabs and espresso and behold if he did no longer finally end up with the mumps, her surgeon advised her that it must be because of the fact her son had a low immune gadget on the time. Its style of like people who've had the chicken pox greater desirable than as quickly as - uncommon besides the indisputable fact that it does take place. perchance going decrease back and talking to the surgeon will help ease your ideas or maybe ringing NHS direct and talking to between the nurses there'll help.

Yes, when I was around 5. It spreaded in the classroom and many of us caught it. It was on my ear and for a day or two it hurt a lot, but I don't remember how much.
