I assume that your GP is aware of this as it have plagued you for so long? Go back and discuss this with him - if he feels such drugs will help you, he will perscribe them you for you. As I'm sure you know, these drugs are extremely potent and long term side effects can be potentially dangerous if not taken in accordance with a medical expert's guidelines, please don't be tempted to self perscribe.
Good luck!

Taking notice of your pattens and if your have any triggers or signs your slipping towards a depressive episodes. It sounds like you have experienced some major changes in your life involving great stress. During these times its important to be a good mate to yourself. The greatest asset you can have when you dealing with long term depression is the ability to be kind to yourself. I have been suffering from a long term mood disorder and I think developing your self esteem is very important. I know its a bit of a catch 22...when your down, moody or in crisis, you feel like you have greatly let yourself down. Its understandable that when you push and push and do everything you can to function but the depression just gets worse, so you can end up completely hating yourself. There are many factors that contribute to depression, some that are completely out of your control (environmental issues, past trauma and abuse, socio political issues, biology..etc). So its important to remember its not your fault you have depression. Our history suggests that its part of the human condition and we are still desperately trying to understand it all. Your already eating right and exercising which is great! I see a psycho-dynamic therapist which is literally saving my life. I highly recommend seeing a therapist to help with your stress. The process will encourage your self esteem and help you develop stronger coping mechanisms. You do have to find the right therapist and type of treatment that is right for your. This can take a long time but its can be really rewarding. If you feel you can 'talk yourself out of it' that's okay, you may need to be on anti depressant medication. It can be hard to accept taking pills but the alternative can be much worse. Also a creative outlet can be a meaningful way to communicate your thoughts and emotions. Even if its just a small project, it will make you feel like your using your emotions in a productive way. Keep up the online communication, i find it really helps to talk to others who are going through the same thing. I hope things really start to improve for you, look after yourself. x

I have the signs of agoraphobia. I fight it hard, because I can't not go out of the house. I have Dr. appointments at least once a month, and I couldn't get my meds if I didn't go to the Dr. office. If you are having trouble paying for your meds, talk to your Dr., he can help you go directly to the drug manufacturer, and sometimes you get the scripts free, or at a reduced rate. Also he may have samples to help you with. I hope you don't buy drugs online, it just doesn't sound safe to me. Good Luck

If you are truly agoraphobic, then your doctor will know what's best for you. Go to him, don't go looking online. Never take anything that isn't prescribed to you. Shame on anyone who does give you a link to a site.

bollocks!! If you needed diazepam your doctor would prescribe it for you, he has probably stopped giving you prescriptions for this drug because you were becoming addicted, you do yourself no favors by taking drugs not prescribed for you. Talk to your community psychiatric nurse, you should have one you know very well if you have mental health problem, seek the help you need not the drugs you WANT

I would not buy any type of medication online. You are best getting it prescribed from your doctor. Your doctor will be completey sympathetic about you being agoraphobic and will help you in getting your medication delkivered to you in some way.
