Why would people want to order a large soda, while they can get refills?

In many cases, its not that they order the larger soda because they want it, its the other factors that are considered when ordering. Most restaurants make it seem like you are getting a better deal when ordering the larger soda, even though there are free refills. But, one has to look and see that most drinks are essentially more ice than soda anyway. This would inconvience the customer by having to get up and refill their own drink or waiting on another drink, or "refill" to be brought to them. But, personally, if i can take the drink with me when i leave the restaurant, then i choose the larger one, thereby giving me more to take with me.

Size doesn't matter, quality matters ;o)
about your soda question, I think that if they order a large soda, they can drink it at the restaurant, and just before they leave, they refill their glass.
so they leave with a large soda. If they ordered a small soda, they'll leave with a small one.

because they are big eaters, and they like to get their money's worth and quality matters, I like getting a large pizza, its usually a better deal and I can have some the next day

abt soda...i dunno why they do that ....maybe they are very greedy people....
