Yes. Most of the vegetables if consumed raw from the market are potentially dangerous. They are often trated with insecticides. Some vegetables are exposed to high doses of insecticides. Beware of green leafy vegetables, califlower, tomato and lady's fingers. It is always safe to first thoroughly wash with fresh water. Then soak the vegetables in saturated salt solution ,say for 10-15 minutes. Most of the insecticides ooze out in to the salt solution. In case of lady's finger prefer to buy distorted ones- which means some insects are present- you can discard while cutting them- but then you are sure that no insecticide has been used. YOU SHOULD PREFER VEGETABLES GROWN IN YOUR KITCHEN GARDEN.

It is not injurious to health. It will not give you all the vitamins and minerals those required by the human body.
Human, by nature, are genitically engineered, to be vegitarian at the same time non-vegetarian.
If you analyse the teeth sets of human with aninals which hunt and eat flesh...you can find the truth.
It is good to be vegetarians...but at the same time you, by nature, should eat non-veg also.
Egg & Milk are also non-veg.

Diabetics and others with blood sugar problems need to avoid high glycemic vegetables. This includes things like potatoes. In the body, carbohydrates are turned into sugar.
Other people can have food allergies that cause life threatening problems. Peanut allergies are a common example.

1. Context decides the content.
2. The statement might have been appropriate to that context, all vegetables are not edible ones.
3. Please remember the story of a father and his son who had to bear the donkey and walk; so listen to everyone.
4. Clean, fresh, and nutritious food is good for health, that's it.
5. Vegetarian food is considered better than non-vegetarian these days.
Eat well; think well; practise good things.
God bless

Yes, since now a days more pesticides and agro-chemicals are being used to grow the vegetables. Better if we have vegetables produced by minerals.
