It's ok,yaar. So what if they feel you don't need a mobile now. The world doesn't end here itself, what is the urgency. Actually mobile is a BIG DISTRACTION for students nowadays-they are whole day busy in gossipping, messaging and clicking, etc. You will thank your parents one day for not providing you one. BUT-if it really is a necessity for you from security oint of view-your parents will realise one day and provide you one . Don't show that you are so tensed!!

You really must be confused at that dilemma considering the seemingly great need to have mobile (at school or anywhere else for that matter; I'm assuming you do not have one instead of them telling you to leave your mobile at home) and your parents saying no. If they still object to you buying mobile from your own pocket, hey must be concerned of your intended use of the gadjet. Anyway, I would say that your parents must be strict if they tell you to go straight home after school. I'm sure they are thinking of your safety and future, it's just that in a way our generation cannot quite understand.
Use the PCO for now I would say. Use mobile when they cannot object to it anymore.

If your college is out of city and there is no way of communicating with your parents or anyone at home fast, then you require a mobile. But if your college is close by a PCO then there is no need for you. Your parents are right. They want to prevent you from unnecessary expenditure and a disturbance for your studies. Concentrate on your studies and not on a mobile which is nothing but a status symbol for most students.

Are yaar..... the problem is not so serious to be so tensed.
You seem to be a good student since you are in a medical school. I think you shoild learn to be self reliant.

Remember there are so many poor students in our country who inspite of being intelligent have to study from Library books. Look at those poor fellows. Atleast your condition is not that worse. Look just craving for things will bring you sadness. After you become a doctor you can buy yourself trendiest mobiles. Plz learn to respect your parent's money and decision.

Even if you want a cellphone there are many online quizes. Appear for it, win the quiz and get the money. Cellphones are pretty cheap nowadays. But even after buying a mobile, you will again face problem paying the bill.

Hey! Med boy! Your problem is simple! If you are so keen in getting a mobile. Call your home daily, get and spend more money on PCO calls!! Use PCO for hours and say, 'Mom, I had some doubts over anatomy, That's what!!' (Ha ha) They know mobile plan are much cheaper than PCO's. They get you one, I think!! :-)

Maybe they think you only want the phone as a toy, so you can "be like everyone else". If you really Need a phone, then just get one and explain to them why you need it.I understand the respect your showing them, but part of your growth process is showing them you are not the little boy they think you are, be responsible for your own needs here and there, and get them use to the fact that you are not their baby anymore. Its harder for some parents, so just be kind and show them how much you have grown. Your not actually some little kid genius are you?In which case, never mind. :)

If you are a medical student, then I am assuming you are old enough to make your own decisions and I'd say you were an adult. If they wont let you have one, then get one yourself. If you have a job and can afford to pay for a phone yourself, then get one. If you pay for it, then they can't stop you from having it. And if you you don't think they still would let you have it. Then don't tell them that you bought your own cell phone. And I wouldn't get so stressed over it, its not worth stressing over, so calm down, take a breath-exhale. I hope everything works out for ya.

Ok I am a bargain queen so heres a idea, if you have a close friend who has a cell, you can usually add a line for $10, offer him $20 to let you add a line to his plan or maybe he'll do it for the $10 but dont screw him over by using up all his minutes be responsible cause you will be on his minutes, maybe see how many he usually uses & has left then see if you can set your phone on a limit. Dont make a friend regret being nice.

Accept the life as it comes. As long as you are under your parents' guidance, obey and listen to them. When there is real requirement and you acn afford it on your own go for it. But as a student really it is not required. By the way, you are a med student, why your english is so poor? Improve upon it.

Listen to your parents. What will a mobile phone do? It will distract you from your studies.

You don't need a mobile phone to pray to God through Jesus Christ.
