Back in the day, I suppose during the "Miami Vice" era, detective police would place those read, flashing lights on their cars before blazing through traffic to persue a criminal or head to the location of a crime. Does anyone know what the lights themselves were called?

We have always called it a Kojak light. Other names were gumball and tear drop.

gumball is the term I use i don't know the real name.Try Galls magazine ,they sell them.
