Incest is where usually children who are powerless are abused by a trusting adult however homosexuality is not an abuse on anyone Adults who are in gay relationships is a mutal respectful thing not one of abuse there is no comparasion between the two I think you need to become more educated in these two areas

societial taboos such as incest and in some cases homosexuality vary and are dependent on the society in which they come from. it is perhaps unfair to claim that people who have a different sexual preference are "too open minded" as this immediatly reflects an ethnocentric worldview and fails to take into the account that it is possible that none of us have completly cornered the truth and morality/ethical set of ideals. if we make the mistake to assume that they are being perhaps too open minded, then certainly it is possible to see where we might be perhaps too close minded in a different light.

To the next question....i would have to assume it would in some way be possible for homosexuals to practice incest but i dont feel there is in anyway a higher incidence of it, rather it is most likely it is opposite. The battle for equality for different sexual preferences is by no means over and there are still many stigmas throughout the world which are attached to being gay. The increased likelyhood that someone is "in the closet" by my estimation would make a highly risky (taboo) social behavoir less likely in my opinion.

to take another train of thought, we must remember that not everyone has always or necesarily believes incestious behavior to be taboo even if it is given lipservice. There are groups from many different spectrums of belief that have members who practice incest, and throughout much of the middle ages there was a much more common incidence in incestious behavior amongst royalty. If the highest crust of society engaged in what we would derm taboo behavoir it should suggest that not everyone has always held firmly to the same societal standards that we have today. On that note, its possible that in 100 years (or even less) the standards which are deemed moral in todays society may be antiquated by what takes our place.

Incest and homosexuality are not even close to being the same thing. Just because someone is gay does not mean they'll participate in incest. Most normal people would not engage in incest. This is the most ridiculous question I've ever read.

No we can't say that.

To assume that homosexuals open mindedness forshadows their morals and ethics does not conclude that they are prone to incest. By no means.

Sexual preference does not leave homosexuals with the tendancy to fancy their siblings or other blood relatives.

Homosexuality is a preference in gender. Not a preference sexual relations with family members.

Are you insane? It's been proven that a majority of incest cases are heterosexual in nature. Incest is not just a sex crime, it's a power thing. Gays are no more capable of incest than straight people. It has nothing to do with sexuality. Having an open mind doesn't necessarily mean that one is more capable of rationalizing a crime, or committing it, for that matter.

Wht the hell has incest to do with homosexuality? And lemme tell you heterosexuals are the ones who normally get into incest. Most of the case being brothers n sisters and cousins.

Incest is considered "bad and immoral" because of a fear of inbreeding.

However, if two brothers or two sisters want to "get it on," I see no problem since there is no possibility of children.

If two relatives want to be a heterosexual couple and there is no possibility of a child, then I see no real objection that society can make.

Hmm. I dont think so. They are not related so I dont think its similiar. Homosexuality is immoral, but does not result in birth defects of children as incest does. I think homosexuality is linked to the nontrust in the opposite sex learned from childhood, maybe. My moto is do whatever you want as long as it doesnt effect or hurt a child or animal - the innocent of the world. We are not the judge, so love these people reguardless & be rewarded for that. Educate your children to have compassion & understanding for others & our world will improve for the next generation instead of worsening with hate. Take Care

"If incest WERE considered bad and Immoral"
Incest IS considered bad and immoral, oh, and illegal.

Whatever your views on the morality of homosexuality, if it were within an incestual relationship that would also be considered bad, immoral and illegal.

What I really want to know is, how in the world did incest become related to homosexuality?! As soon as you answer that for me, I'd love to answer your question.
