They are always scams to some degree... After all, it is one thing for you to get paid something for bringing me into a business, but for the person that brought you in and the person above them to get paid when I bring someone in is outrageous!!!!

For the most part MLMs companies are shysters and making any real amount of money means you are either in the top tiers or someone has helped you to get lots of people below you (usually for promotion of the business so they can advertise your recent success) ... BTW I wouldn't count on being one of the few aided in success since they only need 1 in 1000 or less success cases to advertise and I'm sure the 1 will be a brother(/-in-law) of someone already doing well in the pyramid...

MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing

I would say that most MLM businesses are not good. Here are 3 questions you can ask yourself when looking at an MLM business.

* Have they been in business less then 5 years?
* Have they had any legal trouble?
* If they have products, are they over priced so they can pay the people above them that referred them into the MLM business?

If your answer is no to all 3 questions, then that MLM business is worth looking into.

There are not many MLM businesses that fall into this category, but there are a few such as the DHS Club.

The DHS Club is a mixed bag because they have a little MLM and they are also an Online Mall that works with major companies such as Dell, Old Navy, eBay, Sears, Best Buy, etc.

If you look at it realistically...most everyone fails in MLM .Don't get me wrong, I love network marketing and people need to take some responsibility for their own success/failure but the reality is that the network marketing companies aren't doing anything to help their reps. If you're TOTALLY REAL about MLM's
then you realize that its not about the product or service that the company offers but rather the fact that you want to make alot of money. And...if you want to make alot of money then you need DUPLICATION. And if you want duplication then you should stop cold calling people, and 3-waying to our up-line, and getting shot
down by friends and family etc... (THAT'S NOT SIMPLE AND THEREFORE DUPLICATION WONT HAPPEN!)

In my opinion the companies need to stop focusing on the bottle of wonder juice they are selling and have it set up so that whatever task(s) are necessary to achieve duplication are not only easy but also simple, and thought would make MLM better. By these companies not focusing on simple duplication they are not setting you up for success"

Not good. You will end up buying stuffs you don't need and are expensive. You will end up looking for people you can sell your products to.
