Dandruff is a yeast infection, often confused with dry scalp. It can slow hair growth, as the roots are not absorbing oil from the scalp (due to the scalp being flakey). However, it plays no part in hairloss.

No dandruff doesn't lead to hair loss. However, dirty clogged hair follicles do.
If you are worried about hair loss, just make sure to keep your scalp as clean as possible. Use a bristle hair brush to scrape your scalp clean of debris. (it sounds gross, and it can actually be. Just do this right before you get in the shower!) Use Nioxin hair products, they help block testosterone from your scalp, and testosterone definetly can cause hair loss. Also, they are meant to keep your scalp skin in great shape!
If you have a problem with dandruff though...use dandruff shampoo and brush your scalp as described above. I hope this helps!

No. Hair loss is caused by genes and hormones on the inside. Dandruff is caused by a topical skin condition on the outside.
