There are some commercial products for protecting your hair from pollution. I use one from Boots (Lee Stafford - purple bottle) and it helps prevent smells getting into your hair. Some styling foams offer the same but you need to read the labels carefully that they have this property. Some leave-in conditioners protect your hair as well as leave good aroma on your hair as well. Please avoid hair products that have strong smells because I tried once and it made my hair sticky and even worse it left my hair with bad smell.
