u dont have to prepare urself for a fast. u have to prepare urself to persevere and to control ur entire system -- body, mind and soul. Ramadhan is not just about fasting, its time for us to learn to keep ourselves in control. it is a time where one can learn to deal with the evil things and intentions and looking forward to being a better human being. it is a time to learn to forgive and ask for forgiveness.
Ramadhan is the time for people to better themselves in virtues of endurance, patience and forgiveness. thats what its all about. it is the time to learn to give.
as for me, there is nothing to prepare, becoz i try fasting almost every monday and thursday, supposedly the Gates to Mercy and Heavens are supposed to be open on these days. so yes i am looking forward this Ramadhan to be a better me.

I feel that i need to make myself ready far in advance.
It is the Holy month during which we have chance to make our sins to be forgiven. For me it will be the 2nd Ramadan in my life and I am expectign it impatiently indeed.
I feel like kind of pre-holiday mood.

To a Christian who follows the teachings of Jesus from the Bible, this Islamic custom has no meaning. But to obey Jesus' teaching to love your neighbour, Christians would do nothing to prevent it, least of all use violence. But Christians are obliged to let Muslims know what the Bible says, and from that moment on, that Christian is free of the bloodguilt of that Muslim. It is then entirely up to them to remain a Muslim or change to a Christian, using their free will.
Matthew 28;19Â Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20Â teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

A month for giving more to the poor, and feeling with them; and to show respect to God.
