Well, it depends on what time school starts, the traffic situation in your area and how far you have to travel. I get up at 5:30am every morning to get my son ready for school. He gets to school on time and I do not have to sit in traffic with angry and impatient drivers.
School begins at 7:55am but he gets there at 6:45am with 20 mins driving time. An early start is less tiring for me than sitting in traffic. The journey would take at least an hour with traffic and my car would use much more fuel.
Just make sure that you get to bed early at nights so that you get at least 8 hours rest.

YES, very early. you must go to bed really early or something, because how in the heck are you supposed to concentrate throughout the whole day when getting up at that time of the day?

no, some children in Borneo has to wake up at 4.30am and walk 1~2hrs thorugh jungle to school.

Count yourself luckier than them.
