I am married right now. If I ever get a divorce, which I believe I'm going to someday, I would never get married again. I can't see how I'll be able to trust another man again after what has happened to me. I am only 20 years old and I feel my life has been ruined by men.

I HAVE been married for the last 10yrs i cant say marriage is abed of roses its all about compromising u suffer here and there but at end of the day if its love that brought u 2gather then u can overcome all sorts of ****,but there marriages which cant even stand a yeaar talk to ur local pastor counselor do u know how it feels seeing ur kids grow having to play in the hse 2gater anywa it works

I like the perpetual dating arrangement I have had with the same man for 5 years now. The reason I do not want to get married, is I do not need anyone in my face 24/7. I like two or three days apart where I can honestly say...god I missed you.

i totally agree hey.. infact i'm kind one of those people..
its just that at times we been thru so much hurt and pain and u think ahh f**k it i aint going to try anymore - guess it was just never meant to be. then you meet this really nice person and u think - mmmm well.. maybe i can actually stomach this marriage thing, then **poof** the guy starts acting up again..
So now you then think you'd rather date than be married coz that way should the guy metamorphisize into a pig u can easily just leave as opposed to then having to 'stick around' in the marriage and take (or give) crap.. also i guess its less taboo to walk out of a relationship than marriage..
just my 2c worth..

Take a look at the divorce rate! If it is a 50-50 chance that you will get divorced in the future, then why bother getting married in the first place?

My reason is I have a disability that created tremendous pain and I can't stand anyone needing anything from me. A relationship would require me to give of my self and I don't want to considering my problems.

it is common for people to live together now so why get married, also if u dont marry and something bad happens between u too its easier to leave cause you dont have to worry about legal stuff

afraid of rejection ive been with my man for 5 years he hasent asked he dont want to he wont say that but i can tell so to save alot of inner pain i say i dont want to marry to avoid rejection
