I was 29 when me and my husband decided to have a baby together. I also have a child from a previous marriage. I knew I didn't want anymore. I might have wanted more if I had met my husband earlier in life.I also didn't want to have anymore in my 30's, plus I had gestational diabetes and a hard time delivering with my 2nd one. There are 10 yrs. between my oldest and youngest. I think it's just all a matter of personal choice.

This is only a question a person can answer for themselves. Personally I don't want to be receiving Medicare or be a member of AARP when my kids are graduating high school. I'm 28 and this one (I'm at 22wks) is my last one. If I decide to have another one down the road, I'll be adopting an older child.

I think it's different for everyone. I'm 22. I have no children and I know that I will never ever consider having children even though I'm capable. My husband is getting a vesectomy! Woohoo!
