Ignore him! It may be a way of him wiggling back into your life, or else maybe there is someone else that he just so happens to think you might like... either way it doesn't sound like a good situation. Just tell him that you're not interested in him or his friends and move on to find someone that deserves you! Good luck!

cal me crazy but how your Bf not have yellow flags about you avoiding him for two months? even if he liked you he'd definitely be informed about that!
It's so weird how much you sound like old me. I say give him[the boyfriend] a chance by ordering/asking him to meet you and your ex bf at the same place at the same time after making your ex-bf swear to be there! Then you can see his face, know if it's a person or an alias, and take it from there.
you don't have to get involved for that either so you won't be phased by it. Personally, I don't know any guys that would go through the trouble.

Ask him to send you a picture of himself. But that's still no guarantee. I guess the only way to prove it's not your x is to meet him someplace in public. If he doesnt wish to agree to a meeting, then dont answer his im's. If he comes up with excuses for not meeting in person, then ask him to please NOT contact you. Good luck!

Ignore him! Block him in your IM. You will have peace in your mind and heart. Then move on. There are so many fishes in the ocean.

I'd IM them, but treat everything that's said as if he's trying to set you up to be embarrassed!

I would be suspicious. what are his motives. you don't need his help to find someone.
