Ever since I can remember, when I am just drifting off to sleep, I have visions that are violent. It is usually me seeing some sort of weapon, knife, machete, gun, saw, that is being punctured or cut into me and then the visions stops and starts over again. I do not see a person, I see a hand holding the weapon. It will continue repeating until I finally say a prayer or go to sleep.
I do not have money for a therapist or otherwise. But I just want to know if others think there is something wrong with me mentally? This happens every night.

no you aren't crazy. when you go to bed pray to god to make you stay within this lifetime and that you release the memories from the past lifetimes. you are skipping into your past lives and remembering something that happened perhaps a death from a past life. when you pray to god and are letting him no these aren't things you can handle, he will take them away so you don't see them anymore.

It's very normal to have visions, sort of half dreams, as you're falling asleep or waking up. However the fact that it's always violent makes me wonder if you've experienced something violent or traumatic, or if you're under a lot of stress. It doesn't sound like your crazy or anything.

this has happend to be before, only I saw violent things happening to others... this is something I have believed to be put into my head by something evil, trying to scare me... wow that sounds crazy, but I do believe in God and the devil, so that's what I always figured. All I have to do it just open my eyes, turn on the light, and ask God to make it go away. Sometimes it helps to sleep with the light on. I also try to wear white to bed because it seems like a peaceful and good color.

These types of hallucinations are called "hypnogogic," and they're totally normal to have. You can look up that term and check out more information if you'd like, but overall, it's no big deal, and nothing to get worked up about. If you start having the hallucinations while you are up and walking about during the daytime (not while you're trying to sleep), then you might want to seek some professional help for it. :)
Best of luck!

Honey I hear you.. I have simular visions that haunt me unless I'm medicated (usually with booze). I don't have money for a shrink either.. so I really feel your pain.. I usually have to take sleeping pills too.. but you'll be ok, just remember that reality is not so violent, and you are always safe. If you can't sleep one night why dont you email me and tell me about your visions.. maybe it'll help.. good luck.

Sounds really scary! Sounds fairly normal if you are watching scary movies, reading the news or paying attention to the violence in the world today. I suggest trying prayer before you close your eyes to see if it will stop it before it starts!

is it possible you had a trumatic event in your past even when you were very small? It really sounds like flash backs. You obviously have a great fear of being injured or violated, this really needs to be explored and some mental health does not cost anything if you qualify and medicine if furnished by drug companies.

I sometimes have similar experiences, but it is like I see a mattress falling on me. Over and over. ???
The other one I have is a snake is going to bite me or something, so I jump and it wakes me up out of it when I jump.

its notably lots an identical undertaking as a dream, its basically techniques over the previous few days accrued up making extraordinary techniques you wouldnt many times think of approximately. basically like desires. it has no longer something to do with god or the devil or any ridiculous **** like that.

i think its just your imagination or fear of a particular thing that is causing this problem . i suggest a good prayer before to bed would do the trick . (NOT SURE)
