Your question isn't clear, because a person who is psychotic and one who is a psychopath are not the same thing at all. Psychopath is another label for a person with anti social personality disorder. It means they do not feel empathy the way normal people do and they are violent or manipulative or both. Basically they do bad things, but they aren't insane. A person who is psychotic is one who sees or hears things that other people don't. People with schizophrenia are psychotic.

It is possible for an other wise normal person to have a brief psychotic episode when they're under stress. It is also possible to be "slightly" psychotic, which often gets worse over time. You don't say why you think you have this condition, other than that you suffer depression. Depression is not related to being psychotic. It is a mood disorder. If you find it hard to snap out of, there are drugs that can help you get back on your feet. I'm not saying you need that but if you do, there is help available.

To be psychotic, is to have delusions, auditory hallucinations, or to be so disorganized in thinking as to be unable to care for yourself.

I doubt that a person can be partially psychotic, but there are degrees. A person can hear voices but realize that they hallucinations. It is a more serious symptom if the person believe the "voices" are people or beings talking to them.

A person can have a sense that the Martians are trying to kill him but know that that sense is not based in reality. It's a worse symptom to believe that that's true.

How do you know that you have some traits of a psychopathic personality? Unless you saw a psychologist or psychiatrist, took an MMPI or similar inventory, and the doctor told you this; you don't know this to be the case.

I don't say this to criticize you. When I took my Abnormal Psychology course, many years ago, I remember the professor telling us this at the beginning of the course. "When I tell you the symptoms of the mental illnesses, don't get upset when you see that you have all the symptoms of every one of them. We all have some of these symptoms. It's the intensity of them, the number of them, and the degree that they interfere with your life that makes the difference."

Now, obviously, he was only partially correct. If you, "hear voices", or believe that wombats will destroy the world tomorrow, those are serious symptoms and you need to see a doctor. It sounds like you may have seen a mental health professional. If you quit seeing them on your own or are having problems; why not go see that person? They can probably help you. If you ever feel that you are in danger of committing suicide or hurting someone else; go to a hospital emergency room right away because those are dangerous symptoms and they can help you with this.
