I've heard of so many people quitting and am just curious if anyone still does that diet.

nope its a very dangerous diet. there is something that is called keytosis (cannot spell) but this turns against the body and damages the body permently. if someone was on it then later in life they can suffer from medical problems.

I tried it for a short time but I felt miserable!! I have had much more success with eating a primarily vegetarian diet with only whole grains and as many vegetables as I can manage. There are a couple of good programs. One is called "Eat to Live" and the other is Dr. John McDougall's "...for Maximum Weight Loss". I can't remember the entire tital, but you can do a search. He has several books out including a couple of great books of recipes.

People have meals like the Atkins diet but only a few meals, not everyday trying to get slim.

I've been doing it for a year and a half. It still works and I still feel great. I'll be following Atkins for life.
