Usually you should tip them 15-20% and even more during the holidays. If your hair stylist is the owner, tipping is optional.

Its not necessary but its very polite. Hairstylists somewhat depend on their tips. Unless its a high end salon and you're paying 100+ dollars and they would collect alot of commission then tipping is general. 10-15% Or by service. So $20, then tip them 2-4 dollars (unless your extremely satisfied then more)

Yes, tip your barber. As a stylist, let me tell you how important a tip is.Its a large part of our pay.I always tip well for any service, like a restaurant, bar. And yes we remember the bad tippers and the good ones. $2 to $5 depending on your experience.Do you like the cut.Was the person pleasant and respectful of you.

Well, my dad used to be a barber before he became a coach... he operated a barber shop after the war.... so I believe these people deserve a tip.... in manila, 50 to 100 pesos is quite generous... that's one to two US dollars...

I don't really think its necessary unless the hairstylist had done a wonderful job that is. If you're generous enough I think a tipping fee of 10%-25% is just more than enough.

You should definitely tip about 15%, even if you just go in for a trim!

Of course. I always tip my hairstylists 20-25% depending on what she did. I'm not sure how it is for men, but I'm sure a tip for a job well done is appreciated.
