Empower yourself...he said in a self-help kind of way.

What are you good at, look at your life? Focus on something that will inspire you, find a group of people (the internet is a wonderful thing in this respect - and probably only this respect) who will guide and coach you. In sociological terms this is en-forcement...but you have to take the first step....

The longest march starts with a single step...okay I am paraphrasing one of the world's most nasty despots (Mao Tse Tung) but he speakth the truth with this little quote

Try smiling. If that is difficult for you then start by doing it just once a day or once an hour. Perhaps while passing people on the street or at work. It may create a smile response from the other person and in turn help you to feel good.
Try baking and giving your baked goods away to neighbors or a food shelter or co workers.
And yes, volunteering your time does wonders for self esteem because it feels so good to do it.
The best of luck to you.........

always know that you are awesome and beautifully made by god. once in a while, just spoil yourself, get your hair done, buy a new outfit, there is nothing like the feeling of discovering just how one little change can bring out such beauty and confidence that was hidden all that time. love yourself inside and out. discover who you really are and your capacity to be more than that. don't ever let anyone make you feel less adequate.
you are priceless, show that to everyone everyday and in every way.

Do things carefully and if you're in a bad mood, in other words "don't care" if it comes out right do as little as possible. That way you won't allow low self esteem to proliferate failures that fuel that perception.

This what I did, I set some goals for myself and went to work on them, I sat down and took a good long look at myself and wrote a list of pros and cons, then I took the cons and started to change them to where they became pros, not all at once either,

Caution: do not set unreachable goals for your self at all.......

Now I like the person that I have become, view my 360

You find something that only YOU are good at, or that is unique to you, and build that up.
For instance, I 'm good at learning, so I went to medical school, and now I can help others, that makes me feel really great.
Also, Volunteering and doing things for others really helps you out, as you do more, you feel better.
