1) )The Muslim population in Cuba is very small...
Official figures put it at less than 1000..but it is probably a little a larger than that.....Most of the Muslims in Cuba are 3rd-4th generation descendants of Arab immigrants...

So there isn't really a Muslim area..but most Muslims live around the Barrio Monte area of old Havana.... And the community is centred around the Arab house.. Which is Cuba's Muslim/ Arab cultural centre..

There is also a village called Playa Rosario / Pilaya de Rosario (near Havana) where 40% of the population is Muslim

2) As there are not many Muslims living in Cuba..it is difficult because there are not many facilities in Cuba... And Cuban cuisine for example is not very Muslim friendly... Pork is a staple of the diet...
The government does not harass Muslims..but it also does not encourage Islam because as a socialist country.. It is against all forms of religion...

I think lack of facitilities makes difficult but not impossible.. I would suggest that you can eat vegetarian food mainly..and eat halal meat from the Arab house resturant.. As for wearing hijab..you won't be discrimnated against..but it is very unusual...
.
The Arab house as I mentioned before is the only 'mosque'..It is used as a pray room..and opens on Friday. The Cuban government so far have not allowed to build another mosque because it does not want to be seen to support religion...Though it is rumoured that a muslim woman convert.. has donated her house as a mosque in Playa Rosario....
