We are thinking of going to Ko Pangyan for a full moon/ new years party but they do look like they get quite messy and hetic, where else is a good party without all the mess

People like "m_v" above are foolish and ignorant. They know nothing of Thailand and cannot spell.
Thailand is very beautiful and there a unlimited things to see and do.

Do not believe all the stories you hear about Thailand. While it is true that it has a sex industry, it is only a very small part of a beautiful kingdom with a rich heritage. Thai people are very friendly and helpful. Thailand is truly the Land of Smiles.
Thailand has the most beautiful beaches and temples. There is scuba, boating, football, golf. Thailand is famous for it's cuisine and hospitality. There are many 5 star world class hotels.

The full moon party is only one night and it is on a special beach. I think it would be nice to spend Christmas or New Years there although it is pretty quite during the day. Night is amazing though. The hotels in Koh Samui actually have special dinners and stuff for Christmas and New Years. They have lot so night clubs in Cheuwang beach. You could spend some time in Samui and some on Koh Phangnan, that would be fun.

Oh my gosh..if you love to party and don't judge people, you are going to have a killer time in Thailand during the Full Moon Party, get ready not to sleep!!!
Check out a island called Koh Samui, which is pretty close to Ko Pangyan...it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Take my advice, I was born there!!
p.s. remember to get your shots and always drink bottled water and make sure the seal is on there.
