Okay, don't freak out, but an e-mail was going around recently warning women to have a blood test called a CA-125 to test for ovarian cancer. I am worried because I have a good friend who bloated suddenly in her abdomen and the e-mail going around said that was a symptom. Sorry to bring something unpleasant like this up. I know you don't want to hear something like this. I'm sure you're fine, but maybe fluid is building up for some reason. The other symptom was constipation or diarrhea. Be well! Have a checkup just to rule things out. God bless. ps - more constructive (and less scary) ideas - someone said walking helps, and I have also done an exercise where you bring up your knee to touch your opposite elbow as you bend slightly and do it in quick succession for a few minutes a day. I saw someone at Curves do this and it helped me a bit. Good luck!

First, accept that you have a distorted body image. At 5'2" and 98 pounds, chances are not great that you really do have excess flab.

Second, seek the advice of a doctor. My stepsister had a benign tumor (in other words, not cancer) that made everybody think she was pregnant. Very embarrassing, but very treatable. Go have it checked out.

Third, alcohol and processed carbohydrates tend to make you gain around the middle. Research has shown that dieting alone is not enough to shrink fat cells around your waistline. Exercise, with or without dieting, does. You gotta eat healthy foods and exercise.

A girl I know injured herself and was examined by a doctor. During the examination the doc asked her if she was pregnant. She said no, because she had never had sex. The doctor, however, said her uterus was larger than it should be. She explained she had always had a pronounced lower abdomen even though she was otherwise thin. The doc ordered an ultra sound, which revealed the remains of her twin - it had been inside her since birth. She had the parts that were inside removed. Strange, but true.

You can do crunches, but make sure your nutrition is good, maybe your tummy is bulging because of poor nutrition. You know like those poor starving children from Africa and other places. they are skinny except the tummy. Take care of yourself and get enough nutrition and you should be ok. If not maybe you should see a dr, there could be a reason for the bulging, cyst, tumor or some condition that needs treatment.

actually, your skinny, and all women have that to a degree because of your female bits inside. It probably even stands out more because the rest of you is so skinny. I actually think it's kinda sexy and don't mind it one bit, it's part of female anatomy. but feel free to do as many situps or crunches as you want to try to get rid of it. you may make some progress but girls can't get 6-pacs like guys can. good luck
