Painting is a cheap and wonderful way to uplift a room. You seem to have a special affection towards that rusty color and that also compliments the whole moroccan idea. Try to match the rust color and do a sponged or ragged verigated wall in that color behind where your bed will sit. It will showcase that beautiful bedspread. The colors sound fantastic! I believe you will have a lot of fun with this. Make sure you use all the colors in your bedspread liberally. It will make for a very interesting room (just don't clutter it or clash patterns). Most importantly...take your time. Choose things carefully. This helps you to be picky and not spend all your money at once. You will also wind up with exactly what you want and not what you will just settle for.

I love your idea, I changed my daughters room to moroccan theme also.
I think your best bet (and cheapest) is to get some silky satiny material (really cheap like a $1 a yard), as much as you can afford. In all the same colors that are in your bed spread. You can hang it up mostley around your bed with a staple gun you can create a great canopy from the middle of the ceiling above your bed and down over the sides, with maybe like a beaded gold tie back to keep it form getting in your way (you can make these) you could even use some material for curtains for your windows. Try maybe a really plush rug in one of those fabulous colors to make it all pop. And if there is material left over just make some throw pillows you can stuff them with old clothes or towels.
Another idea is thrift stores, I found a lamp that had sort of a jeanie lamp feel to it and it hangs froma gold chain, except that it was wood. So I bought some gold spray paint and it goes perfect with my daughters new room
I spent about $150 in the whole room. with a couple of extras and it was really fun!

I LOVE MOROCCAN THEME! That is my favorite look actually!
Your color combination are perfect.. . I can add in some suggestions somehow..
Paint one wall Tiffany Blue color like... leave the rest plain creamy white. Throw in pillows of different colors on your bed, such as deep purple, Burgundy, coral red, mango orange.... etc.
Search for poufs!! Its a must have in a Moroccan theme room... they come in amazing colors that matches your designs...
Remember to have throws and rugs also, it is so Moroccan :)
Put in some candles but aim for a clear colored glass candle holders... in the same colors mentioned above... with sandlwood candles hmm hmm good!
Have your things arranged in straw baskets and wooden boxes.... over your console or bedside!... your lamp shades would look amazing if they have beeds all over or at the ends.
Make sure to have a bone or leather mirror also... if you cant find any, try solid brass ones... in silverish gold that is not too goldish or silverish... even in triangular shape!
Add in ceramics too
hee hee sorry got so carried away, too detail oriented I guess...
I hope you like it though
Put on your Moroccan hat, and wear your caftan and then brain storm about everything I mentioned and take your pick! LOL
Good Luck ;-)

Marvelous plan! The colour scheme, as you probably already know, can be taken straight from the bedspread and applied round the whole room - but you've got to watch how you balance your colours.
I'd suggest painting the walls in a gold/deep parchment hue, as it's the most flexible. You can do one basic coat and then dab a matching glaze on with crumpled rags (but keep it subtle! Heavy faux finishes are dated... you can get away with it here because you are trying for the ethnic patina) or just do a smooth two-layer paint job.
Then mount curtain rod supports - the kind from IKEA that look like robot forearms with cupped hands are both cheap and sturdy. Paint them the same gold colour before you put them up. If your windows are narrow, or ugly, or not matching - place the curtain rod supports so that the curtains will hide some of those defects. For example, instead of putting the supports right at the corners, put them about a foot outwards, so that the curtains will hang down just covering the edge of the window, and help make the actual 'glass space' look wider.
Now, mount another pair over the bed, about a foot down from the ceiling (assuming an average ceiling) and as far apart as the bed is wide. Use simple one-inch dowels from your local builders/hardware/Home Depot as curtain rods and paint them in, yes, the same gold/parchment paint (simple, blends in, makes a very finished look). You could get metallic gold spraypaint and 'dust' a light coating over all the rods after the base coat is dry - one can would do it.
Don't look for curtains, necessarily - think outside the box. Try a sheets and bedding store and buy kingsize or queensize unfitted sheets in the purples and burgundies that match your bedspread. Yes, go ahead and pick up a complete set to fit your bed, but skip the pillowcases or buy contrasting colours rather than matching ones! This is where you want the focus, so get the oranges, rusts, hot pink, (trust me!) and bright accents for the pillow cases.
Metallic tablecloths often show up around the holiday season (I scored four irridescent scarlet tablecloths for about six dollars each, in a thin, sparkling fabric, and used them for my Bollywood bedroom!) If the budget allows, you should try your local Little India (Toronto has a large area for food, shopping, and jewelry - marvelous stuff) and pick up at least two saris in the right hues - their authentic sparkle will make the room pop!
Hang your curtains on the painted rods and put them up. Sheets usually simply need about three inches of the seam on either side unpicked so you can thread the rod through the hem - takes two minutes. Otherwise, you'll have to sew a wide hem/pocket to shove the rod through - or punch holes directly into the fabric and use twisted gold cord (the thick stuff you can buy at any fabric store, or sometimes dollar stores, or wrapping places) to literally tie the curtains on for a casual look - or pick up a package of funky showercurtain loops for the right feel....
Hang two separate pieces of fabric on the rod over the bed. This is a good place to use your saris if you have them, or your accent fabrics. Now grab one at about waist level, bunch it in your hand, and pull it away from the side of the bed where it's hanging. Draw it out and up and let it drape attractively to form a crescent framing the bed. Mark where your hand holds the curtain against the wall, and match it on the other side. Now screw in two large decorative knobs or cabinet handles at that spot, big enough to hold the curtains there. Use a loop of gold cord if necessary to restrain them.
Have a cool mirror? The type with bead-and-dowel woodwork that look like old Tinkertoys, or wooden carving, or certain types of punched/fretted metal, will look very appropriate in this room. Don't have one and can't afford it? (IKEA has some great silvered-metal mirrors that would work...) Make a do-it-yourself fake: hot-glue craft scraps all around the frame of your cheap mirror (beads from an old car-sea protector are perfect, puzzlepieces will work on a budget, even certain shapes of stale pasta!). The trick is to spraypaint (mask off the mirror part with tape and newspaper) everything in one metallic colour. Copper would be cool as it would pick up the rust tones, or metallic gold to match the other details.
You didn't say what is on the floor - probably carpet as it's a bedroom? You could lay an inexpensive oriental rug in the right hues - predominantly burgundy, with purples, deep reds, and gold accents, are quite easy to find - right over the existing carpet so that the bed is centred on it, or just in the free floor space.
Further decorative accents are up to you. Niches, a couple of hanging glass-bead or crystal 'souk' lanterns, a Moroccan leather trunk, a dervish costume displayed on the wall, etc.... Make sure some focal point goes over the headboard between the curtains.
If you're ambitious, you can actually build and cover a simple arch-shaped headboard which fits over your existing bed's head - a spectacular focal point.
Oh, dear, I've rambled on, but I hope the ideas help! Natural materials contrasted with rich colours and some authentic details and textures will really help to create your Moroccan fantasy. Good luck...
