It does not sound like a fungal infection. It can be an early sign of PVD. Usualy this early sign shows up in mid 20's. I would keep an eye out for varicous viens and other signs. Or it could be a reaction to your sandals which you could solve by using a topical anti-histamine cream such as benadryl.(or break down and get new sandals). But fungal infections typicaly would start between your toes with itch burning and peeling of dermis. Hope I helped

OMG, I have the same problem with my favorite sandals...thought it was just my problem (sensitive skin). I bought them last year...man made in China Burkenstock style thong by American Eagle. I absolutely love them, but I can't wear them because each time I do, my feet start itching (on top only) and the rash appears. I wore them twice last summer & once this summer...I still have tiny dark spots on top of my feet. I hope someone has a legitimate answer for us!

Sounds like athlete's foot. There are a lot of over the counter powders and sprays that will stop it, but you have to be faithful in treating them until the rash is gone completely.

Could be athletes foot but sounds like an allergic reaction to something. You could be allergic to the sandles.
