yeah i met a guy at a party once and talked to him for a couple of hours and then we had the most amazing sex in the entire world. not knowing him made it really exciting. (we used protection of course) but then i fell head over heals in love with him and stayed with him for like 3 years.

No, that's crazy! Although some find it mysterious and exotic. Personally I wouldn't do it.
