My friend and I were talking about the back to school activites this week and she mentioned that there was a hypnotist coming and that she wanted to volunteer. I told her she was stupid, and she said that I should too. She thinks that being hypnotized is sexy. I disagree...and she said I was stupid. I think my friend is a freak. Am I right?

I've always wondered what it would be like to be hypnotized, I just wouldn't want to be made to act like a fool and not remember. I think you should go for it, both of you could monitor each other and have something to look back on and laugh. Since she volunteered and you are a skeptic, you should go first as a pledge of faith. I would imagine if it is someone coming to the school and being in front of children it would be a clean and respectable show and nothing that would come back and bite you in the behind later. It's something fun and free, live a little and take a chance. Go on! What have you go to lose?

ur friend isnt a freak, and nor r u for what u think of it.
not everyone can b hypnotized. i kno that some try it and just want to put on a show but they actually havnt been.
i personally havnt tried it b4, id like to though. we had it at our grad nite. (the more popular kids got to go up) the guy they brought in was good. (plus it was fun watching a few of the kids cluck like chickens lmao)
if u dont feel like u should volunteer, then dont. hypnotism is something fun and enjoyable but in order to b hypnotized, u need to believe.
i think that u should do what u think is right, however it is all in fun.

I don't think there is a right and wrong when it comes to this. I don't think it is sexy persay - what would make it sexy?? People do it to try to stop certain habits they have or they do it to have people do funny things. Really though - that is her opinion and you have yours - which you are entitled to and as your friend, she should not call you stupid for voicing your opinion. You both have a right to have your own and even to disagree - you are not the same person and won't think the same on everything. You should both just listen to the other and respect each others' opinions. That is what friendship is about. :o)

some ppl are open to new experiances..... does that make them stupid ?? NO.. so dont go putting down things you dont understand..... I would not do it either, but if a friend wanted to ?? so what ?? it is for them to decide what is right for them not us........... God bless
