if you mean xp, click start -> run - > c:\windows\system32\oobe\oobe.exe /a

thatll open the out of box experience dialog to activate windows.

go to start, find, type the name of the product (use wildcards, i.e. if searching for soapboxes type soap*.*) and see if your system will locate it...
