While over my soon to be husbands house. I was very embarrassed. I did not know what to say. Excuse me seemed to not be enough. We do not live together and I just felt weird about it. I guess it is a common thing in marriages though. Was it better to not say anything? He acted like he did not hear it but I know he did.

My dear, it is better to ignore it altogether. He was very gracious to do so. Don't worry about it. It is going to happen. It's a bodily function we simply can't avoid.

don't worry that may have been the first time but wont be the last. DONT say anything NOW. he'll think your crazy. Next time just say excuse me. It's not a big deal you're human.Someone told me that when you're comfortable passing gas around your partner than you're ready to get married. Just lighten up. He'll be around for worse things if you're planning to live together.

Oh for goodness sakes. Everybody passes gas. Offer to come back next week when the smell has cleared away. Or challenge anybody to do better. Or blame it on the dog. "Excuse me" ought to be sufficient. One nice thing about marriage as that you can fart with total abandon.

Were you alone? if so, don't mind about it. We men usually are not offended about those facts of life. If you were a friend, probably your bf would jockingly say somehting to bug him, but he just didn't want to make you feel weird.

Take it easy (unless his parents and entire family with the parrot were there too)

You're both going to be doing a lot of that over the next 50 years or so. You might as well get used to it now.

It's perfectly healthy to pass gas. Whenever I do it, I laugh my *** off. When he does it, I'm all, "tch..you call that a fart?"

Humour is a great way to make light of silly things.
