Buddhist monks don't marry. However, during the Japanese occupation of Korea, the Japanese encouraged the monks to marry. This ended in 1954 after the Korean War.

Good question. My nextdoor neighbours are an interfaith couple--Buddhist & Muslim to be exact. However, neither of them are members of the clergy in their particular faiths.

And the Buddhist is the wife & the Muslim is the husband(don't know what the children are going to be raised as).

I think it depends on the branch. For example, Shinran Shounin the founder of the jodo shinshu branch got married.

as far as i know buddhism is all about beeng werry close to your soul and god, real buddhist monk will never should merry because real buddhist should give all his life to meditation and cleaning his soul....:) and it doesnt metter if its muslim or whatever it is...:)
