Compared to tobacco? Compared to alcohol?
Compared to the oxygen deprivation from inhaling its smoke?

I'm asking because I didn't think pot has ever been conclusively proven to kill brain cells, but I asked earlier, "Does marijuana kill brain cells" and everyone just said "yes" with no sources.

Nope. Been at it for over 30 years. Haven't killed anyone, chopped anyone to bits or nothin.

Don't listen to the government-they're as bad as the oil companies, AMA & the textile industries.

You might want to do a bit of your own research and ask this question again. First, we have all heard about "brain cells", but what are they exactly? Secondly, does tobacco or alcohol kill "brain cells"? Third, is the death of "brain cells" the main reason marijuana use is not recommended? I am sure you can find answers to these questions that you will agree with online since I'm pretty sure you are just looking for someone to agree with you that marijuana use should be legal. In that case, here goes:

Yeh, I totally agree. The government shouldn't tell we the people that we can't smoke if we wants. They haven't even shown that it's bad for health. It's relaxing and helps to make you mellower so you aren't being violent. It helps you think and get along with people better. It's just not fair that we... (all tongue-in-cheek of course)

Marijuana doesn't kill brain cells. The reason people say that is because of the government propaganda that continued from the 30s to the 90s when the AMA did their research and concluded that it didn't.

The following are some of the common side effects of using marijuana:

Trouble remembering things
Sleepiness
Anxiety
Paranoia (feeling that people are “out to get you”)
Altered time perception
Using marijuana for a long time makes some people lose interest in school, work, relationships and other activities. It may also cause legal problems. Using marijuana can be especially dangerous in certain situations, such as when you are driving.

Thats all I could find about it. No one really says anything about brain cells being killed. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

It's just a scare tactic..I believe it alters the chemicals in your brain, not necessarily "kills " brain cells. Now you might think it does WHILE you're "high" because like I said, the effects of the toxins are altering your brain activity, so you might become "dazed & confused" and not to mention forgetful.
Often times when I puffed, I became more intuitive & would talk in depth about subjects like NASA, current events and the wonders of life. So it just depends on the person.

marijuana does not kill brain cells...in fact cannabinoids are commonly found in the brain....not only that but if you are a habitual smoker and if you were to have a stroke it would protect your brain from damage because it coats your brain in a sugar like coating that protects it from being overcharged by electricity...yummy

It's really not killing braincells scientifically.....It's most likely the laziness of the use of the brain when on mind altering substances. The more often we use the more lazy it becomes....if we let it,probably because it frees our thought processes allowing us to be numb to decisions making.

So roll me a pinner......
