They have plus's and minus's.
Plus - Soft - feel good when you sit on them
Minus - Soft - easier to attract bacteria
Plus - Warmer when you sit on them
Minus - Warmth promotes growth of bacteria
Minus - Easy to split and tear
Minus - Tearing and splitting means replacing more often.
Plus - toilet seats are fairly cheap

No they are not good at all. They look cheap and usually dont hold up very good. They also look like something i would find in my granny's bathroom. Yes they can feel more comfortable at first but then the air goes out as you put your weight down more and more and then i find your legs go numb a lot faster. Also they collect germs like crazy and they stain very easily, the rip and tear open. Just all around not good at all.

Well... I find that soft ones are harder to do number 2 on (sorry... I know too much info)... BUT, if you are in a cold area, they dont freeze like regular hard ones do. I hate that. You go to sit down on the hard toilet seat and you freeze your butt off.

They are great for comfort however I had to go back to a hard seat after having to replace the soft one every four months.

Neither good nor bad for the toilet - actually adds comfort, yet does not last, and more difficult to sanitize. No, it does not 'enhance' your bathroom. Good Luck!

I think they look a little cheap, and they harbor more bacteria than a hard seat. They also hold stains (ugh). True, they may be more comfortable, but they are not as sanitary.

to a toilet it doesn't matter what type of seat you put on it. however a cushioned one is what i call a creature comfort , yes they are comfortable to sit on, until the vinyl cracks and you sit down and your butt or legs get pinched, using bleach and or other cleaning chemicals takes life out of them( dries out the vinyl) but not cleaning them makes for a bacterial playground ,your choice is comfort over clean, or, clean over comfort
