893 individual pieces. it can vary from 800 - 1100 pieces. those with less than 800 pieces have been ripped off by middle men who take out a portion of it to be sold in other boxes. in the process of distribution some flakes may have been broken into microscopic bits resulting in the loss of flakes. this is due to the 'flake-eating micro organism' effect.

they did an test with rats which in touch communities of rats one ingesting cardbox and the different conflakes... the rats that ate cardbox lived longer than the rats that ate cornflakes... :x could be warning to all cereal ingesting human beings
