Yesterday I went to the funeral of my best friend's mother. Her mother had planned every detail by using a funeral planner. I can't recommend any, but if you put in the phrase "funeral planner" in a search engine, a lot of sources pop up. The fact that their mother planned her own funeral was a great comfort to her five children because they knew exactly what she wanted and didn't have to have major discussions on what to do when they were grieving.

My step mother planned her own before she died (at 36).
A friend who died of lung cancer recently (was 44), planned it out with the funeral people and his friends, down to the type of sandwiches to have at the gathering.
My grandfather is in a home and his casket and plot is paid for too.
I think that when it is inevitable, why not?

I didn't HAVE to, but I have anyway. My grandmother planned hers years before she ever got sick, and it was such a blessing to not have to worry about those details and what she would have wanted that I decided to plan mine in advance.

Some people think it's morbid, but most of my family did the same thing. I figure if something sudden and terrible happens to me at least I've removed one extra burden from my family.

Actually, i kinda wish that everyone could plan ther own funeral so by the time they do die, then it wont be such a shock to everyone and they could handle it easier when someone does die.

It is a very good idea to plan for the event of one's death. One should not leave the burden of loved ones & friends to arrange burial procedures. Cremation is a very economical way to do this. I hope this helps...
