No, I wouldn't say that the older a particular religion is, the more primitive it is.

Example: Judaism is a very old religion, & yet it's not primitive.

I would say that the more isolated a religion is, the more primitive it is.

Some of the most primitive religions out there, I would say Geniism(based on how little info, there is on that particular religion), Yoruba & other Animistic African religions. Various tribal religions in the Amazon in South America, also in Indonesia, Huna religion in Hawaii, Voodoo & Santeria, & those are all the ones that I can think of for now.

I notice that most(if not all)primitive religions are polytheistic.

The most primitive also belongs to the oldest indiginous peoples. It is the religion practiced by the Aboriginal people of Australia. No age doesn't make it primitive, but the opinion of primitive is purely subjective.

Who says it's primitive. There isn't one religion that is because not one person stays holy than thou with one.
Human beings are a skittish lot. They change there beliefs every five minutes and so does the church. Church and Mosque etc and there so called leaders change the course of religion every so often to suit the day- time and year.
We all have a Bible of Sorts - Karan - or what ever the case may be but who follows the exact wordings that are written. No one.
I defy anyone who is true to the holy written scriptures of either book or others like it.

THAT IS AN INTERESTING ANTHROPOLOGICAL QUESTION. FIRST YOU MUST LOOK AT HOW CIVILIZATIONS AND COMMUNITIES AS A WHOLE AND IN THEIR STRUCTURE, EVOLVED. THERE ARE TWO MAIN COMPONENTS, TIME TESTED AND TRUE, DOWN THROUGH RECORDED AND PRE RECORDED HISTORY. RELIGION AND COMMERCE. BOTH APPEARED ON OUR PLANET AROUND THE SAME TIME HUMANITY HAD REACHED A CERTAIN STAGE IN OUR EVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENT. WE HAD REACHED A CERTAIN LEVEL OF INTELLIGENCE AND PRESTO! THE MOTHER GODDESS MADE HER DEBUT OVER 20,000 THOUSAND YEARS AGO WITH OUR PREHISTORIC ANCESTORS. COMMERCE IS ALSO A FAITH BASED SYSTEM TODAY. THAT'S ONE OF THE FIRST LESSONS YOU LEARN IN ECONOMICS CLASS. YOU SPEND MONEY BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN. THAT IT'S WORTH SOMETHING AND HAS VALUE. COMMERCE AND RELIGION HAVE BEEN AT THE BEGINNING AND ENDING OF EVERY CIVILIZATION THAT HAS EVER BEEN SO YOU SEE, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW PRIMITAVE, HOW OLD A GROUP OR A BELIEF IS. IT IS IN HUMAN NATURE TO BE OF A FAITHFUL DISPOSITION, DOES THAT MAKE US DEVINE OR OF DEVINE ORIGIN?

Of the two you mention, Hinduism has the older texts (approx. 3,500
years old compared to Hebrew/Judiac texts at approx. 3,000 years old)
but the religion with the oldest religious texts is neither of those:
The oldest religious texts are Egyptian (from approx. 4,600 to 5,100
years ago).

"The Pyramid Texts were a collection of Egyptian mortuary prayers,
hymns, and spells intended to protect a dead king or queen and ensure
life and sustenance in the hereafter. The texts, inscribed on the
walls of the inner chambers of the pyramids [from c. 2686-c. 2160
BC]., are found at Saqqarah in several 5th- and 6th-dynasty pyramids,
of which that of Unas, last king of the 5th dynasty, is the earliest
known. The texts constitute the oldest surviving body of Egyptian
religious and funerary writings available to modern scholars."

define what you believe primitive to be, and explain why your stardards are the ones that matter.

just because western society views certain religions as primitive doesn't mean they are.

all religions being primative, this is a difficult question. so i would have to say the one with the most people. and if one were to out-number that religion then it would change to the next one.
