There is more work for these kinds of jobs than there are workers. Many just aren't taking calls for new business because they have a backlog of months. I recommend two options: the state of Louisiana has a website of licensed contractors by area and specialty and you can probably start there (http://www.lslbc.louisiana.gov/findcontractor.asp). Second, talk to people in New Orleans that you know who could recommend someone or even provide a reference.

If you live in Orleans or St. Bernard parishes you need to strat showing some type of progress on your home or it will be taken by the parish for either demolition or auction.

Good luck!

Umm remember they had that big hurricane last year and the state is still not at 100% and most likely it won't be next year either I'm sad to say.....

I'm sure if you went down there you would find work.

Try calling employment out there or some of the insurance companys, I bet they could point you in the right area........

Good Luck............
