Contact an adoption agency, or if you can afford a private adoption you can find a lawyer that specializes in adoptions. Don't get your hopes up before the ink is dry on the adoption papers though. The birth mother has 6 months to change her mind and take the baby back...which I think is totally wrong. I believe that once they sign the papers and the baby is living with the adoptive parents, that should be it....no turning back. This happened to my husband's step-brother and his wife. The girl signed the papers and they had the baby for 2 weeks and she took the baby back! Be careful.

Contact your local child welfare agency that takes care of kids in foster care. There are lots of babies that were removed that need homes, and the state will often help you in many ways. I live in Florida and for ADOPTION they pay a monthly stipend, the child's health insurance, and 4 years of state college.

why do you have that user name? It makes you sound unsuitable for motherhood, even though you probably are a nice person. Bless you in your adoption search.
