Your feelings of happy thoughts are similar to what one feels when a loved one passes on. The end of a relationship sometimes creates feelings one would feel as if that person had died. The girl you loved is not dead but the relationship is "dead." You remember the good times you had with that person much the same way you might remember them as if they had died. Ever have a loved one pass on? You remembered the good times not the bad, right? It's a coping mechanism we use when we're in mourning. My advice would be to move on as quickly as possible. Keep yourself occupied, make new friends. If you sit around and wallow in your loneliness you will only drive yourself into madness and depression.

Deep down inside, you are probably regretting the break-up and hoping to get back together again. Am I right?
Call and apologise to her and see her reaction. If she's prepared to accept your apology, then try again. Sometimes we over-react to minor or non-issues, and might said or done something we regret later on. This happens very often between couples.

aww, maybe its cuz ur a sweet guy and not a jerk who holds grudges when a relationship doesnt work out...? just a guess... different ppl respond differently in different situations. some other guy in your place could just be thinking about the bad stuff. i think it's just how different ppl respond, just an opinion.

Love is blind and it's easier to see the good in people that you love. Maybe the bad times, just weren't that bad in your mind.
