No. I'm a pretty firm believer in the whole MYOB school of thought. If I see a woman on the street and think she might be pregnant, it is not my place to go up to her and congratulate her. She may not be pregnant and she may not be happy if she is pregnant. If a woman wants to be congratulated, she'll say to you, "I'm pregnant!" Then, you know for sure and you know she's happy.

we all make that mistake. I've learned to never ask that question. even if it's obvious , because I swore I would never do that again, after embarrassing myself and the big bellied lady. And sure enough , one day it slipped out again and I thought for sure she must be about to give birth she was so protruded. Well guess what . she had a stomach tumor ..... the size of a 9 month pregnant lady. So just don't ever say that if you don't know for sure.hopefully my embarrassment will be enough for everyone that reads this.

Yes, and how embarassing is that. I never ask now unless the woman mentions, because the truth is that some cancers can make you look pregnant, (my case) I exercised taking my foot out of my mouth and am not willing to do this again. thanks for reminding me, it happened a while ago but a little humiliation is good for the soul.

Yes, I did that once and was so embarrassed. I was at a networking event and the woman was sitting next to me.

I will never ask that question again.

No, but someone I worked with did that once to a customer...let's just say the customer wasn't very impressed. And once I came in to my friends restaraunt with a bigger friend of mine and he thought she was one of my pregnant friends. At least he had the decency to ask when she wasn't around.

No way! You don't ask a woman if she's pregnant unless there is a baby coming out!!!

Absolutely, I asked my cousin's ex about his new girlfriend, since she was skinny with a poochy belly like someone 6 or 7 months pregnant. He wouldn't answer so I asked her and she said no. I bet my cousin was laughing in her casket, considering we were at her funeral and that was the skank he cheated with.

Yes, that is embarassing. I have also done the reverse. I have a heavy friend who was upset with me that I didn't notice that she was pregnant!
