I live in Vegas and visit family in Seattle. The weather at both cities is very different so depending on which you like better you should choose. Vegas is in the middle of the Mohave Desert. The summer heat is over 100 for over three months. The spring and fall are fantastic. Winter can be cold if the north winds blow but we seldom have even flakes. You are 6 hours from CA and beaches, a couple hours from UT and skiing, and a plane ride anywhere. The town is 24/7 but people who live here learn not to gamble except like taking the same amount of money as a movie and knowing the chances of losing are high. NV needs teachers desperately. Jobs are casnos are tight right now but housekeeping would be a good choice. Getting a job right off is very iffy. You will need a car because the bus system is awful. The cost of living is comparable to Seattle. Seattle is humid. A/c is not a normal things for those several hot days in the summer. Snow falls depending exactly where you live. Restaurant prices compared to Vegas are higher but the food, etc., about the same, depending on exactly where you rent. That is all I know
