I love hanging out with my friends and family, but I do cherish my alone time so very much-and I don't feel lonely because I can do what I want. It's nice not to have to worry about pleasing other people and just worry about yourself.

Hmmm... introverts need a lot of alone time, they are more energized when they are on their own doing their thing, and are drained, sometimes bored and perhaps overstimulated when around too much noise and too many people.
Extraverts are the opposite, they feed off the energy of people around them and can be unhappy if they are on their own for too long. They loose energy when they are alone.
I still believe that introverts can still be lonely - especially if they have no close friends or family. Introverts just feel a need to be around people as often as extraverts feel a need to be alone.

I love being alone! Maybe it comes from being the only girl in a family of boys, but I do enjoy my alone time! I seek companionship in my friends and family when I need that, but I enjoy the quiet, the less distractions, and the opportunity to do my work uninterrupted. I keep busy, and never feel lonely. Friends and family are available or just a phone call/email away....

Alone?? What is that? OMG I would love to be alone. Even if it were for just 30 minutes or so. I would love to be able to take a bath without one of my children needing to come in and use the bathroom. Or my husband telling me to hurry in the bath because he needs me to help him with something. I JUST WANT TO TAKE A RELAXING BATH. Some people don't get lonely because they never get a chance to get lonely.

no, as most people are around so many all the time, we need to be alone to relax. some want to be alone due to depression but are not lonely but you can be lonely and still want to be alone.

Lots of people are so independent that they prefer to be alone rather than in large crowds, have a few close friends rather than lots of acquaintences, and keep themselves busy and occupied with what they like to do rather than hoping to be entertained by those around them

I in no way had brothers and sisters, so i discovered the thank you to entertain myself. My lady pal gets lonely whilst she is on my own for extra suitable than 3 hours. notwithstanding, she had 3 sisters growing to be up and that i think of that has plenty to do with it.

Some people are more introverted than others and don't require the same level of personal contact as do extroverted people.

there are two different types of people...introverts and extroverts...introverts are perfectly content being alone and prefer to take part in solitary activities. extroverts are more outgoing and find happiness in the company of others. neither is right or wrong...just different!
