Report her ASAP. Being a stay at mom mom is NO excuse. She is an adult and she needs to deal with it like an adult.

Well #1 One thing has nothing to do with the other. Maybe she was a stay at home mom because her now ex-husband wanted her to. I am a stay at home mom because my son was a preemie and almost died, so does that make me lazy??! NO.
#2. She should have insurance on her car. If she didn't the police should have written her a ticket for no insurance...which I believe is at least $500. You can sue her, but that will take forever.
#3. You should have full coverage on your car especially if you are financing it through the banks, and full coverage includes Uninsured Motorists, just in case the person that hits you has no insurance.

Insurance. Insurance. Insurance. If you did not exchange insurance info with the other driver, but did report the accident to the police then that info should be in the police report. None the less contact your insurance company and have them do all the leg work, that is what they are paid to do anyway. Grandma needs to contact a personal injury attorney.
As for housewives............... a housewife does more work by accident than most men do on purpose.

I am sure that you are upset....getting hit by someone is not a fun experience.....BUT, please calm down a bit. I am absolutely positive this woman did get up this morning and say to herself: I think I'll try to ruin someone else's day by having a car accident. Yeah, that's what I'll do.
To put this woman down and say the things you have said about her doesn't do anyone any good. It doesn't change things, and it certainly won't fix your car. The only thing it does is feed the anger you have inside.
This woman may be going through (may be? I am pretty sure she definitely IS) a very hard time in her life. Divorce sucks BIG TIME. I know, I have been through it. And just because she is not working now, doesn't mean that she is a freeloader. And it does not mean that she is lazy. Who the hell died and made you king?
I certainly hope that someday, when you are going through a very rough time in your life, and believe me, if it hasn't happened yet, it will happen to you, that someone will be much more charitable to you than you are being towards this woman. She made a MISTAKE.....she did not do this on purpose.
Please get a grip on reality. For your sake, not mine.
Negativity only breeds more negativity.

First off a stay at home mom is not lazy. Do you know what a house mom does in a day? If not then maybe you should reconsider your out look on stay at home mothers.
Second off.....there is a likely hood that she has insurance...get it from her and file a claim.
Thrid off file a report with the police department.
Fourth off....repsent her with the what the repair shop says it will cost to fix the damage...if she still wont pay take her to court.
But you might want to lose your attitude about stay at home moms because your not gonna get very far with that shitty approche.

Dealing with her will only continue to frustrate you. That is what insurance companies are for, to do the dirty work for you. Her insurance company is liable for your medical bills as well as replacement for the car. If you feel like you're getting the run-a-round from the insurance company, talk to an accident claims lawyer and ask them for advice. Then let the insurance company know that you've been in contact with the lawyer, sometimes that will change their tune, if not , ask the lawyer to deal with them while you recover from your injuries. I hope you and your grandmother feel better soon. Best of luck.

Let the insurance company worry about that. And just because some woman stay home w/their kids does'nt make them lazy.I am a stay at home mom and i work my tail off taking care of my kids and the house.I have a 24-7 job that never ends. You should'nt have to pay if it was'nt your fault. The only way you are guranteed money is by going through the insurance company.

You need to contact your insurance company right away. It doesn't matter that she is going through a divorce or is supposedly broke. That is why the law requires drivers to be insured. As to your grandmother's injuries, you can contact a lawyer and your grandmother can sue the other driver for medical costs. I think that is mainly done in small claims court unless she incurs a lot of expenses.
Also, I know you are upset, and rightly so, but please don't knock "housewives" we are not all lazy and leeching off our husbands.

Call the Mafia and put a hit out on her.
No, just bullshitting. Seriously, do the right thing and take this chick and her husband to the cleaners the legal way. Play the insurance game, get your injuries documented, get a lawyer and go to war. It's easy as that. You will get paid. Going through a divorce is not DIVORCED. By law, they are still married, and until his estate and property gets divided, he is still responsible for her actions by law. Do the right thing, and get money. That's how you do it. Don't do anything stupid, man. You sound pretty pissed.

o.k i get your angry but don't bash stay at home mums. You don't have to deal with her that is what you pay your insurance company for. Talk to them. Who are you to say she is lazy. Raising kids is a hell of a lot harder than a lot of jobs, i doubt you could do it for more than a day. If you have a wife and kids I pity them
o.k just read your other questions. So your 16, engaged and drive a merc. WOW you are an amazing person. You need to get back to your homework and get off your computer, get an attitude ajustment and settle yourself in for one lonely life because a person with your attitude is going to be one lonely person. Stop making up questions and find a better use for your time

#1-be greatful to be alive. Yea-it sucks, but it could be worse.
#2-go through insurance, she is at fault so you should not pay anything. You need to not deal with the woman at all, only her insurance company. If you didn't get that than I don't know what to tell you. I hope you filed an accident report and traded information.
#3-don't stereotype housewives, most are not like this psycho who you are having trouble with.
