Just politely say thank you, I appreciate your concern, but I would prefer you stop trying to convert me.

I understand how you feel, and I am what you refer to as a Bible Pusher. You see, I have had "Bible Pushers" confront me when I took my daughter to a carnival. It did not matter to this man that I said I was Saved - he just kept witnessing to me. TALK ABOUT REDUNDANT! LOL.

The best thing you can do is just be honest and say something like.., "I'm not interested for now. Just give me your card (or tell me where your church is) and if I have a change of heart, I know where to go."

If they want your address and phone number - don't give it to them and tell them it is for privacy reasons. If they can not respect that (in a modern world full of psychopaths (after all, you really don't know them) then be rude and shut the door - or if your outside, just leave.

If they are rude - you will not be rude in shutting the door or leaving. But I would ask you (forgive me for sounding pushy) on your OWN TIME, explore the Bible - starting with the New Testament because this is the key book whereby we get the Gospel. The Old Testament is good for learning lessons from the past.

just tell them nicely. Most of them will leave you alone...those that don't it's okay to yell at. I'm a Christian and any time that I pass out pamphlets or bibles I do must best to be kind and respectful of others wishes.

Well when all else fails, just be blunt. They wont listen to reason alot of times and think they have to convert everyone in thier path to think as they do. Thankfully not all people who beleive the bible are this way, but it sure gives the nice ones a bad rap.

Simple, just put it out that you don't care what the Bible has to say and tell people to please not quote it to you. If they insist on doing it anyway then you can tell them about this verse and ask them why they are being rude and not following the command of Jesus to love your neighbor as yourself.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Good Luck...I've always found that the polite - yet very firm - "I am not interested" works well. If that doesn't, then reiterate that faith is a personal issue. Note the emphasis on the word "PERSONAL". If that doesn't work, I would just walk away. If they follow you, that's harassment...

Hi!

Say "Praise the Lord! May God Bless You!"

If you say this, then the "bible pushers" will think you are already a Christian and leave you alone...

:)
Thank You Jesus!!!

Hah. that may work. But, I would not call them names, especially derrogatory ones like ''Bible pushers''. Call them what they are; they prefer that. and tell them I'm not intersted. If they keep pushing, tell them that you don't want to hear about it and that you are steady in your ways.

I just politely tell them that I have my own personal relationship with Him.

tell them you are not interested, and don't share their faith, and if they don't leave you alone, then politely say goodbye and walk away or close a door. Sometimes it's hard but enough is enough sometimes.
