San Pedro is a town located in the city of Los Angeles, but your mail would say San Pedro, CA. If your mail said Los Angeles but had the correct zip code for San Pedro, you'd still get your mail. In fact there is even a sign on 25th St, as you come from Palos Verdes that says you are in Los Angeles City limits. San Pedro does not have a mayor, it's own police or school district, it's the LAPD and LAUSD and the mayor is the LA Mayor.
