The USA may have been founded on relgious freedom, but from my experience this country is full of closed-minded idiots that are intolerant of anything that may contradict what they believe in

It was built by them. What do you think the pilgrims were? I should qualify that answer though. America is tolerant of Christian religious fanatics. Only.

Only the Christian ones. Other religions, including people like me who are not fanatics, (and not Muslim, Jewish, or any other derivative of the Moses myth) seem to catch a lot of crud from Christians.

When they knock on my door, individuals who may be loving people, I am tolerant, say, "'No thank you, I am a Druid', or, 'No thank you, I worship trees, echoes and stars'," or something! Then I politely tell them no thank you and close the door softly.
But when they try and legislate and impose their personal religious blather or retoric I am NOT tolerant!

Uhh...hello? We elected one into the White House.
The real question is, are religious fanatics mentally ill?

If the ACLU always supports aetheists, then why are they supporting the Westburo Baptist Church (who are protesting openly and obscenely at military funerals?) Just a question.
